Harmony students have Olympic spirit

What's a better way to start off the school year than with a salute to the London 2012 Olympic Games!
All grades came to the art classroom and created memorable Olympic art. See the lovely creations below...

Kindergartners - working on their tracing and cutting skills

1st grade & 2nd graders - they are all gold medalist to me!

3rd graders - had a blast making their own Olmypic torch.

4th graders worked on their own individual line designs along with the study of cool colors. A collaborative display was installed to mimic a pool. Check out their work above.


5th graders designed their own Olympic rings by using zentangle designs.

Had a great day yesterday at open house and got the opportunity to meet some students and families. This past week of teacher pre-planning was filled with lots of meetings, lots of new protocal, lots of new routines - and I am embracing it all. Last minute touches on an ever evolving classroom - will I be ready? So excited for the students! Looking forward to a great year!! Now...come on Monday!!!!!!!!!!!!!
